This article aims to help with any technical issues you may be experiencing when launching Jurassic World Evolution 2 or whilst playing the game.
Launch Issues.
If you are having issues whilst launching the game, please try the following steps:
1. Check your PC meets our Minimum Specification.
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64bit (min version 1809)
- Processor: Intel i5-4590/AMD FX 8370
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: (4GB VRAM) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti (Legacy GPU: GeForce GTX 960) / AMD Radeon RX 470
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 14 GB available space
RECOMMENDED:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64bit (min version 1809)
- Processor: Intel i7-5775C/AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: (6GB VRAM) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX 570 (8GB)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 14 GB available space
2. Verify the integrity of your game files within Steam.
3. Ensure your Windows version is fully up-to-date.
Press the Windows key -> type 'Check for updates' and select -> Check for updates and install any outstanding updates.
4. Remove Nahimic Sonic Studio and/or Sonic Radar.
Please consider removing these applications entirely if the game is persistently crashing on launch.
5. Ensure your graphical drivers are up-to-date.
6. Disable The Steam; Xbox; Discord and Geforce overlays.
STEAM:
Steam -> Settings -> In-Game and untick the 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game' option
DISCORD:
Head to 'User Settings' -> 'Games' and toggle the overlay to Off.
NVIDIA GEFORCE EXPERIENCE:
Head to 'Settings' -> 'General' -> 'In-game overlay' and toggle the overlay option to Off.
XBOX GAME BAR
While in-game press Windows + G to bring up the game bar.
With this showing, you should be able to select the settings "Cog".
From here, please uncheck "Record game in the Background" as shown below.
7. Lower the Game's Graphics settings.
One thing you can try is lowering the graphics quality of the game itself. You can do this by going into the game's options screen, and going to the Graphics section. From there you can choose a graphics preset, or customize each option available.
8. Unplug any 3rd party peripherals.
9. Lower your Windows Resolution temporarily and then change it back.
Performance Issues.
If you are experiencing performance issues whilst playing please follow the steps below:
1. Check your PC meets our Minimum Specification.

2. Ensure your Windows and graphics card drivers are up-to-date.
Please check that your Windows is up to date and that all your graphics card drivers are fully up to date.
To perform a Windows Update: Please follow Microsoft's advice in their support article. 'How do I keep my PC up-to-date?'

3. Use Full-screen mode.
You can swap between Full-screen and Windowed modes from the Graphics Options menu under 'Screen Mode'. In most cases, you can also press Alt+Return to swap at any time.
4. Check your PCI-E slots are being correctly utilised.
