Jurassic World Evolution™ makes use of the Denuvo Anti-tamper software to help prevent piracy.
There is quite a bit of speculation and misinformation surrounding the Denuvo software and how it impacts your experience with Jurassic World Evolution™ and other Frontier titles, so here's a little FAQ to help clear some of this up.
Will I need to play Jurassic World Evolution™ online due to Denuvo?
No this is not the case. Jurassic World Evolution™ will run an initial authentication check via Steam during installation and your initial launch of the game. At this stage, Denuvo will also automatically authenticate.
Once this is done you can continue to play in offline mode if you wish to do so.
Will Denuvo affect the performance/FPS of Jurassic World Evolution™?
Your performance and FPS is unaffected by Denuvo in Jurassic World Evolution™
Does Denuvo cause HDD or SSD (Hard Drive) problems?
No, this is not the case. There is a common misconception that the Denuvo system writes or encrypts data to and from hard drives continuously, however, this is not the case. You can read more on the Denuvo FAQs here: http://denuvo.com/
Will I be able to upgrade my PC hardware?
Yes! Some upgrades, such as CPU or motherboard, may require a revalidation check to be run by Denuvo, however, this will happen automatically when you first run Jurassic World Evolution™. It is also possible that Steam will also do a similar validation too so you will need to be online at this time.
