To perform a Windows Update:
Please follow Microsoft's advice in their support article. 'How do I keep my PC up-to-date?'
To install the most recent Graphics Card Drivers:
Drivers for your graphics card and some peripherals are not distributed through the automatic Windows Updater & must be acquired by the manufacturer's website.
For Nvidia graphics cards, you can get the drivers at www.Geforce.com/drivers.
For AMD graphics cards, you can get the drivers at www.amd.com
For Intel graphics cards, you can get the drivers at www.intel.com
Some notebook computers will require that only drivers validated by the system manufacturer may be installed. Validated drivers should be provided on the manufacturer's website.
To perform a clean reinstall, it is necessary to uninstall the previously installed graphics card driver before installing the new one.
For Nvidia graphics cards, this can be done automatically. The driver installer has a clean install option that will perform the necessary steps.
