Are there any differences between the platforms on which Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available?
Jurassic World Evolution 2 has been designed from the ground up to be a rich management experience whether you prefer to play on PC or console. Our aim has always been to provide the same experience across all platforms.
Whilst PC and Current generation consoles (Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) will share the same experience; some changes have been put in place to ensure that players on previous generation consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One) get the smoothest experience possible with the hardware on those machines. These changes are explained below:
Park species limits
Whilst previous generation console players will be able to research and unlock all dinosaur species within the game; they may only display a maximum of 50 different species in their park. There is no limit on the number of dinosaurs of those species that can be housed in the park; though an excessive number of dinosaurs can affect overall performance of the game (which may be true of any platform on which game is played).
Sandbox and Jurassic Park or Jurassic World Era choice
At release, Jurassic World Evolution 2 will allow you to choose between Jurassic Park and Jurassic World eras when starting your sandbox park. This will determine the theme of your park and the appearance of the buildings and assets that you place within it, as well as the fashion sense of the guests that visit your park.
Previous generation consoles are locked into this choice, whilst PC and current generation console players may mix assets from both eras in their sandbox park.
